How does True support tree planting?
Revenue from Yahoo-powered search and sponsored new-tab ads helps support our tree-planting mission. Both are part of how True connects everyday browsing with a greener purpose.
Does True come with Yahoo Search?
Yes. Yahoo is True’s default search provider. You can change your address-bar search provider in browser settings. The search box on True’s new-tab page uses Yahoo independently of that choice.
Can I turn sponsored tabs off?
Yes. Open Settings, choose System, and turn off “Show sponsored tabs to support environmental projects.” Your choice applies to all profiles and stays off until you turn it back on. This does not disable ads shown within Yahoo search results.
What are sponsored new-tab ads?
Sponsored tabs are offers that may open in a new tab while you browse and are labelled “Sponsored by True.” They are enabled by default. Whether an offer appears depends on eligibility and availability.
Can I bring my bookmarks with me?
Yes. The installer’s Advanced Options include an optional import of bookmarks and browsing history from your current browser. Passwords, cookies, and extensions are not imported.
How do I uninstall True Browser?
Open Windows Settings, select Apps, then Installed apps. Find True, open its menu, and choose Uninstall. Follow the Windows prompts to remove the browser. See the step-by-step uninstall guide.
