Terms of Service.

1. Your agreement with Innosoft Group

These Terms of Service, including the software license below (“Terms”), form an agreement between you and Innosoft Group (“we,” “us,” or “our”) concerning True Browser, our website, and related services (“Services”). By downloading, installing, or using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not install or use the Services; you may uninstall the browser at any time.

You must have legal capacity to enter this agreement. If you are not old enough to enter a binding agreement where you live, a parent or legal guardian must review and accept these Terms on your behalf. The Services are not directed to children under 13. If you act for an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind it.

The Privacy Policy describes information handling. Acceptance of these Terms is not a substitute for any separate consent that applicable law requires for a particular data use.

2. License to use True Browser

Subject to these Terms, Innosoft Group grants you a limited, non-exclusive, revocable license to install and use True Browser on compatible devices you own or control for lawful personal or internal business purposes. The software is licensed, not sold. We and our licensors retain ownership of the Services, branding, and other intellectual property.

Except as permitted by law or an applicable open-source license, you may not sell or sublicense our proprietary software, remove proprietary notices, misrepresent its source, bypass technical protections, or reverse engineer proprietary components. You may not use our names or logos in a way that implies an affiliation or endorsement without authorization.

Open-source components

True Browser includes Chromium and other third-party or open-source components. Their separate notices and licenses apply to those components and take precedence over conflicting restrictions in these Terms. You can review included notices through the browser’s credits page, chrome://credits. These Terms do not restrict rights that an open-source license or mandatory law grants you.

3. Browser features & your choices

Search & new tabs

Yahoo is the default search provider. Address-bar and True new-tab searches can be routed through a search partner to Yahoo and may contain advertising. You may change the address-bar provider in browser Settings > Search engine. The search box on True’s designated new-tab page continues to use Yahoo independently. Normal new tabs use search.truebrowser.org. Search and advertising arrangements may generate revenue for us.

Sponsored tabs

Sponsored tabs are enabled by default. Eligible browsing activity may lead to an advertiser’s offer opening in a new tab labelled “Sponsored by True.” Availability depends on eligibility, provider inventory, and browser version; we do not promise any particular offer or frequency.

You can turn this feature off in Settings > System > “Show sponsored tabs to support environmental projects.” The choice applies across profiles in the installation and remains off until you enable it. This control does not remove ads from other websites or Yahoo search results, and does not stop all search and settings reporting.

Installation options

Advanced Options in the installer let you choose bookmark and history import, opening True with Windows, background operation, and automatic update checks. These options are enabled by default on a fresh installation; saved choices may be preserved during upgrades. The importer does not import passwords, cookies, or extensions. Background operation can keep the application running after windows close and can reopen it when you return to the computer. Review available controls before installation and in browser and Windows settings afterward.

The Product Disclosure explains these features in more detail. Features can differ by version, installation, location, and system support.

4. Information & third-party services

True processes information as described in the Privacy Policy, including installation identifiers, search events, settings, and page context for sponsored offers. Sponsored-tab context can include URLs, titles, and metadata in regular, Incognito, or Guest modes. Private browsing does not prevent all service reporting or make your activity anonymous.

Search results, advertisements, websites, downloads, and extensions can be provided by independent third parties. Their terms and privacy policies govern your dealings with them. An ad or search result is not a guarantee that we have reviewed or endorsed its content. Evaluate offers and downloads before acting, and direct questions about a third party’s product, purchase, or refund to that party.

You are responsible for the content you submit through the browser and for complying with the terms of the services you choose to use. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of your personal content to us.

5. Acceptable use

Use the Services lawfully and without interfering with others. You must not:

• Use the Services to distribute malware, commit fraud, violate privacy, infringe intellectual-property rights, or carry out other unlawful activity.
• Attempt unauthorized access to our systems, interfere with their operation, or evade security or access restrictions.
• Generate artificial searches, ad impressions, clicks, installations, or other events to manipulate revenue or reporting.
• Impersonate another person or falsely represent an association with Innosoft Group.
• Use automated tools to overload our endpoints or extract data in violation of applicable law or access controls.

These restrictions do not limit legitimate activity protected by law. You remain responsible for protecting your device and for keeping backups of information important to you.

6. Our environmental mission

Our mission is to use revenue from Yahoo-powered search and sponsored new-tab ads to help support tree planting. Statements about the mission are not a promise that a particular download, search, ad view, or amount of browsing will plant a specified number of trees or produce a guaranteed environmental result.

Using True Browser does not itself create a charitable donation by you, a tax deduction, or ownership in any planting project. Forest images on the website illustrate the mission and should not be understood as verification of a particular project.

7. Updates, availability & changes

We may maintain, update, change, or discontinue features as the software, provider arrangements, and technical requirements evolve. Update checks depend on the version and installation settings. We do not promise uninterrupted availability, compatibility with every website or device, or indefinite support for any version.

We may revise these Terms by posting a revised version with an updated date. We will give additional notice or request renewed acceptance where required by law. Changes apply prospectively and do not remove rights already accrued. If you do not accept revised Terms, stop using the Services and uninstall True Browser.

8. Ending your use

You can end your use at any time by uninstalling True Browser and stopping use of the related Services. Follow our Windows uninstall guide. Back up any information you want to keep before removing local browser data.

We may suspend or terminate access to our Services for a material breach of these Terms, unlawful activity, security reasons, or discontinuation, subject to applicable law. If the license ends, you must stop using our proprietary software. Open-source rights remain governed by their applicable licenses. Provisions that by their nature should survive, including ownership, liability limits, and dispute provisions, continue to apply.

Uninstalling does not automatically erase service records already collected. See the Privacy Policy for deletion requests and retention information.

9. Warranties & disclaimers

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Services are provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement to the extent those warranties may legally be disclaimed. We do not warrant that the Services will be error-free, completely secure, continuously available, or free of harmful third-party content.

Some jurisdictions provide mandatory warranties and consumer guarantees that cannot be excluded. Nothing in these Terms limits those protections or any remedy you are legally entitled to receive.

10. Limits of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Innosoft Group and its licensors are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including lost profits or business opportunities, arising from the use of or inability to use the Services.

These limitations do not exclude or limit liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for fraud, willful misconduct, gross negligence where protected by law, or applicable consumer rights. If a limitation is not permitted in your jurisdiction, it applies only to the extent the law allows.

11. Disputes & governing law

If a problem arises, contact [email protected] so we can try to resolve it. Contacting us does not waive your rights or extend any legal filing deadline.

Except where mandatory local law provides otherwise, Texas law governs these Terms without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and disputes may be brought in the state or federal courts with jurisdiction in Harris County, Texas. If you are a consumer and the law where you live entitles you to bring a claim elsewhere or to rely on local protections, those rights remain in place. These Terms do not require mandatory arbitration or a waiver of class-action rights.

12. General terms & contact

If a provision is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect to the extent permitted by law. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of later enforcement. These Terms and the applicable component licenses form the agreement governing your software license and use of the Services. We may transfer our rights and obligations in connection with a lawful business transfer, subject to applicable law and your mandatory rights.
